senderos ancestrales

"Senderos Ancestrales" is a black-and-white photographic exploration of the ancient Inca paths, specifically the Sillutinkara, one of the pre-Columbian trails that wind through Bolivia. These roads were vital to the Incas, linking distant regions of their empire and facilitating the movement of goods, people, and information. Used for trade, military campaigns, and religious pilgrimages, the trails were essential to the functioning of Inca society. Through this series, I capture the remnants of these historic routes in monochrome, emphasizing the timelessness and depth of these paths while reflecting on their importance in the Inca civilization.
